What is sublimation?
Also known as “dye-sub” or “dye sublimation print”, it is produced by printing sublimation ink onto special transfer paper, and then heat pressing it on to the fabric through a commercial heat press. The result is a permanent, vibrant, full colour image which becomes part of the fabric as the ink is embedded in the fabric rather than simply laying on top like a normal print.
What is screen printing?
Screen printing is the process of transferring a stencilled design onto the shirt using a mesh screen. The basic method involves creating a stencil or design on a fine mesh screen, and then using a squeegee to push ink through to create an imprint of your design on the surface beneath. The garment is then placed in a heat tunnel where it then dries at the desired temperature.
